WESTLAND COUNTY COUNCIL. GENERAL AND SPECIAL RATES. Notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the County 'Council of Westland, at its next ordinary meeting to bo held at tho Oountv Chambers, Hokitika, at .2 p.m. on TUESDAY, JULY 3rd. 1928:(1) TO MAKE AND LEVY pursuant to tbe provisions of Sections 48-55 of tho Rating Act, 1968, and its amendments, and sections 120-121 of the Counties’ Act, 1920, a General Rate as follows: SIX FARTHINGS in the £ on the capital value of all rateable property in the Northern' Riding of the County of Westland. SIX FARTHINGS in the £ on the capital value of all rateable property in tbe Central Riding of tbe County of Westland. > SIX FARTHINGS in the £ on the capital value of all rateable property in the Southern Riding of the County of Westland. SUCH GENERAL RATE to be for the period COMMENCED on the Ist. DAY OF APRIL, 1928 and ENDING on the 31st DAY OF MARCH, 1929, and to become due and payable in one sum on tbe 3rd. DAY OF JULY, 1928 at the office of tbe Westland County Council, Hokitika. NOTE:—The valuation- rolls are open for inspection at tbe County Office, Hokitika, daily during office hours. (2) TO MAKE AND LEVY pursuant to tho provisions of Sections 48-55 of the Rating Act, 1908, and its amendments and the provision of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and its amendments, SPECIAL RATES as follows : A SPECIAL R ATE, of ONE PENNY and FIVE-FOURTEENTHS of a penny in the £ (annually recurring) for the special Inter-Wanganui Rating District affecting the loan of £750 for Petersen’s Road Extension.

A SPECIAL RATE of ONE PENNY and SEVENTEEN-TAVENTY-FIRSTS of a penny in the £ (annually recurring) for the special Inter-Wanganui Rating District, affecting the loan of £450 for Petersen’s Road Further Extension.

A SPECIAL RATE of SIX-SEVEN-TEENTHS of a penny in the £ (annually recurring) for the special InterWanganui Rating District, affecting the loan of £405 for La Fontaine Crock Clearing. A SPECIAL RATE of SIX-THIR-TY-SECONDS of a penny in the £ (annually recurring) for the special Southern Rating District affecting the loan of £1,509 for Kakapotahi Bridge Erection.

SUCH SPECIAL RATES to to for the period COMMENCED on tho Ist. DAY OF APRIL. 1928, AND ENDING on the 31st. DAY OE AT ARCH. 1929. and to become DUE and PAYABLE, in one sum, on the 3rd. DAY OF JULY, 1928, at the office of the Westland County Council, Hokitika. NOTE—Valuation rolls arc open for inspection at the County Office, Hokitika,, daily, during office horn's.
