HOKITIKA HIGH SCHOOL BOARD
FRIDAY, JUNE 22. The Board met at 3 p.m. Present — Hon. H. L. Michel (Chairman), Messrs A. Clifton, J. King, T. W. Duff, and T. W. Bruce. The minutes were confirmed and outward correspondence approved',. JIN WARD COR HFSPUXDEN CE. From Mrs C. A. Linklatcr, in reference to salary for commercial class teacher at High School.—Received. It was resolved that salary he paid for the two short-term holidays lmt not for the-Christmas vacation. A deputation from the Hokitika Committee consisting of Messrs A. C. Armstrong (Chairman), W. E. Richards (Treasurer) and the Rector (Mr E. Partridge) waited on the Board, asking for a grant in aid of the functions of the Committee. A number of matters were discussed and the Heard resolved to vote £3O towards the purchase of prizes and commercial stationery. - From Canterbury Education Board in reference io salaries of secondary teachers.—Received. From several in connection with country scholarships.—Received and action taken approved. From Audit Department returning balance sheet certified to with an exception. —Received.
