PECULIAR CAR ACCIDENT. SYDNEY, June 22. During a fierce fight on the waterfront between seamen and waterside workers arising out of tlie cooks strike, a motor car ran over and killed one of the combatants. The driver was menaced by the crowd, abandoned the car and escaped in a taxi. The dying mail experienced great pain while liis companions were crudely trying to set a badly .broken log. A BRUTAL OUTRAGE. NEWCASTLE, June 22. A dreadul outrage was committed last night on a hoy of seven years. He was sent to buy a newspaper when a mail with whiskers enticed him into a lane where he brutally outraged him and then heat him until lie was black and blue, with his belt.
