ROSS NEWS.
(Our Own Correspondent)
The Ball which was held on Wednesday evening in the Totara Hall proved to be quite a successful function. The attendance was good, quite a number of cars from both north and south bringing along patrons. The hall was very tastefully decorated with greenery and streamers in the club’s colours, making quite a gay showing. A welcome supper was served about midnight, after which the dance continued till early morning. Miss Evans? Orchestra supplied excellent music and Mr u. Richards made a capable M.C. A substantial profit should result which is to be used towards the expenses of injured players.
The following will represent Ross in their match against Kiwis to be played at Hokitika to-morrow: —J. Houlalian, L. Green, A. Head, A. Parker, J. Ableson, R. Parker, J. Johnson. E. Best, G. Inglis K. Martin, B. Adam, F. Russell, C. Wright, N. Inglis, E. Mitchell. Emerg: R. Richards, J. Bridgman.
