ADDINGTON STOCK SALE. CHRISTCHURCH, June 20. At Addington sales there were large entries and a- good attendance. Fat Cattle.—There was a smaller yarding than last week. The quality, with few exceptions, was poor. -There was a good demand for the best quality, hut an irregular sale. Values per lOOlbs were:—Steers, prime handy weights 40.3 to 425, heavy 80s to 38s Gd. medium 35s to 37.*'., lighter and unfinished 33s to 355, heifers, extra prime 37s Gd to 3.95, medium 35s to 37 ; cows, prime 35s to 3'- Gd; medium 31s to 34s Gd, others 25s to 275.

Fat Sheep.—There was a moderate yarding, The 'quality, with the exception of a few pens of prime stud', was mediocre. The demand was fully up to late rates. Values were:—-Wethers, extra to 495, Id, prime 37s Gd to 41s, medium 33s to 375, lighter 29s 1(M to 32s Gd ; ewes, extra to 41s 7d, prime 31s to 35s Gd, medium 27s lo 30s. lighter 22s to 265, inferior from 15s Gd.

Fat Lambs.'—There was a smnl yarding of mixed quality. The demand was fully up to late rates. Extra heavy sold to 39s 4d, prime freezers 34s Gd to 38s, med iunt 31s to 345, lighter 27s to 30s, backward to 2Gs Gd.

Figs.—There was a medium entry of porkers and a small entry of buconers. There was a keener demand for best quality. Choppers sold at £2 to £5 16 s, light pork 30s to 355, medium 37s to 44s Gd, heavy 45s Gd to 555, extra to 60s. The average was G.]d to 7ld per pound. Light bac-oners fetched £3 4s to £3 12s Gd, medium £3 15s to £4 ss, heayy £4 10s to £4 18s Gd, extra to £5 IGs. The average price was old to G.ld per pound. Store Pigs.—There was a small yarding. Prices showed an all-round advance.
