At a. meeting of the committee of tho West Const Rugby Tjiiion held at. Groymouth last evening Motueka Union replied in reference to a request far a match on 25th. July at.Motueka liy this Union whilst on its Seddon Shield tour. After considerable discussion, it was decided to advise that Union, that, after due consideration, it would bo impossible to make the tour as originally planned. It was also decided to ask the Buffer Union, if it would be possible to alter the return match with them, which was fixed at 21st. July, suggesting 14th. July as an alternative. A letter was received from tlie Nelson Union confirming date 28th. Ju.lv, as the day for the Seddon Shield match. It was resolved to send a circular letter to the Sub-Unions pointing out that players selected for the B. Unions’ North v. South Island match at Palmerston North on 4th. August, would require to leave for the North immediately after the Seddon Shield match in Nelson on 28th. July, so that they could arrange for leave accordingly.
