“GOD GAVE ME 20 CENTS” —TO-NIGHT.
Herbert Urenon, known to thousands of picture-goers as the maker of “Beau Geste,” now makes another gripping drama, but this time it tells the story of the intertwining of three lives along the waterfront at New Orleans. It is “ God Gave Me 20 Cents,” at the Princess Theatre to-night. In tins Paramount picture Lois Moran, Lya de Putti, William Collier, Junr., and Jack Mulhall are in the cast. A gripping drama of the waterfront. Of the love of two women for one man. What does the title ‘mean P For those who want to know, let us explain: “God Gave Me 20 Cents,” tho Paramount picture at the Princess Theatre, gets its name from a dramatic sequence in the picture. Twenty cents are used to decide a bet on the toss ot the coins, but later they are round to be “ crook.” Another finds them, ancf is thus instrumental in. bringing about her own happiness, and that of her husband.
A good topical and comedy will also bo shown to-night. On Friday next Wallace Beery and Raymond Hatton will be seen in “ We’re in the Navy Now.”
“Ben Hur ” will be shown on Monday and Tuesday, Juno 25th and 26th.
