The men arrested in connection with the Moxey case arc Charles Jackson (21) charged with murder and James Dent (21) charged with inciting Jackson to murder. Dent was formerly a partner of Moxey but it was dissolved owing to domestic differences. Tbe police obtained important statements and Jackson led them to a water hole where a gun was thrown. Union Council officials, W. Duggan and J. Crofts, when lively interjections were hurled, blaming the Trades Council namely “You sold us,” “traitors,” “squibs,” “frauds,” “scabs,” and similar pleasantries. Duggan declared the outcome of the strike had been an ignominous defeat but Crofts contended the cooks had lost little, if anything.
