CHINESE MINISTER’S STATUS. WASHINGTON, Juno 15. It is authoritatively declared that
the Minister for China, Sze, surrendered his status and privileges as the " accredited diplomatic agent when he accepted appointment, by the Nationalist Government as its representative in the United States. It is said hereafter lie will have no official standing as far N ns the United States Government is concerned, at least until United States recognises the Nationalist regime. It is indicated, however, that the Department meantime will -continue to cooperate with him on a personal basis. , STORM DISASTER. NEW YORK, June 16.. A North Bay message states a man and a team of horses were killed and twenty-two railway workers received a serious shock when they were struck by lightning during a terrific storm , which swept James Bay district.
