“ OUTLAWS OF RED RIVER ” —TO-NIGHT.

Fox Films again score a double hit with their latest Tom 11 ix Western feature, “Outlaws of Red River,” which is to be presented at the Princess Theatre this evening. A double hit, because it is both a thrilling narrative that is crammed with suspense, jammed with thrills and sparkling with romance and also because it is a scenic of unusual beauty and interest. Fox and Mix are carrying out their promise of some time ago of giving people an opportunity to sec the beauty spots of the west and in “Outlaws of Red River” they show vast mountain ranges outlined against the splendour of evening skies, and the grandeur and majesty of Cathedral Canyon with its perpendicular walls of granite. The combination of background, story and acting result in an entertainment that is treat and delight to all who see it. The story is based on Gerald Beaumont’s sensational magazine feature an] deals with the life-long search of Tom Morely, known by his fellow Texas Rangers as the Falcon. -Morely is ' seeking his foster-sister, who was abducted by bandits when an emigrant tj-ain was attacked by them and her parents killed. Morely, played by Mix, in all his hunts after outlaws is ever on the look-out for some trace of tins girl of his childhood. How he find? her, captures the outlaws of Red Rive; and avenges his foster parents’ death, makes a picture of absorbing interest. Marjorie Daw is the girl of the story grown to womanhood and plays her role with sympathetic appeal. In the prologue, Jimy Down, a boy of about twelve, interprets the role of Tom as r child. He docs look as it seems Tom Mix must have looked at that age. In a nutshell, “Outlaws of Red River” is real entctrainnicnt, sure to please everyone. The supports are topical, serial (“The Silent Flyer ”), and a good comedy. Coming: Heeney-Sharkey fight film.
