MOTOR GARAGE BURNT.
CARTERTON, June 14. | A fire at Featherston early this morning destroyed L. Cherry’s garage. The outbreak is reported to have started through a candle upsetting and fnll,ng into a pile of inflammable material. The Fire Brigade was speedily in attendance. but an inadequate water supply hampered operations. in' building was practically razed to the ground. A motor lorry partly loaded with timber for Wellington and two motor cycles were severely damaged T,. Cherry is at present ill m tho hospital. His son was in the garage. The insurances are not available.
