NOBILE’S WIRELESS CEASES (Received tais day at 12.25 p.m.) LONDON, June 13
General Nobile’s wireless has ceased. Nothing was received throughout the night after the message detailing the disaster to the Italia. It is believed the accumulators arc exhausted and nothing move is likely to l>c heard from the castaways, but they will be able to receive messages for some time yet. The pack-ice carried them two miles in two days, breaking up here and there and forming canals. Unfortunately the weather has undergone a had change. A north-west gale is feareu, accompanied by snow, which will further try the inadequately clothed crew as well as imperilling the lives of the three men trekking to Cape North. An encouraging aspect, however, is that relief expeditions daily are becoming more numerous. A SEAPLANE SMASH. COPENHAGEN, June 13. A seaplane was wrecked while flying over a densely populated part of the city. A pilot and two cadets jumped out. but the parachutes failed to unfold and they fell on the roofs of houses and were killed.
