INCITING TO AIURDER. SYDNEY; June 13
Arising out of his statements, as cabled to-day, Mr J. S. Garden (Secretary of the Trades and Labour Council) was arrested late this afternoon and charged with inciting persons to murder. He was admitted to bail in in surety of £3OO. The New South AA’alcs State Government is responsible for the present arrest of Air Garden. It is understood further action is possible by Federal authorities. BRIBER Y ALLEG ATI OXS. SYDNEY. June 13. Before the Royal Commission on the Federal Parliament graft allegations, William Henry Lambert, member for AA'ost Sydney, gave evidence that £BOOO was offered to him to give up his seat for Air Theodore. He said the offer was made by Air Ala honey in December of the year 1925.
ONE SHIP GETS AWAY. SYDNEY, June 13. The steamer Mildura got away last night. There are other vessels preparing to leave, as men are offering freely. It is believed the end of the strike is in sight. strike is held up owing to the decision of the Seamen’s Union to disregard the Australasian Council of Trades Unions' instructions to remain at work. - ' AVhile one ship is unable to secure a crew, three Tasmanian vessels are running without cooks.
