WEST COAST RUGBY UNION.
The Committee met at Groymouth last evening. Southland Union wrote confirming 11th August as the-date to play West Coast representatives at Greymouth, and it was resolved that Secretary be instructed to acknowledge and supply information as regards suitable accommodation. The New Zealand Union wrote re a B Unions North v. South Island match at Palmerston North on August 4th. and it was resolved to instruct the solictors to submit names of players whom they deem eligible for selection, giving necessary particulars rc position in field, age, height, and weight, such particulars to be supplied by July 18th. A telegram was received from Nelson Union confirming 28th July as the date they accept for Scddon Shield match versus West Coast at Nelson. It was resolved to immediately get in touch with the Golden Bay Union, asking for a match on Wednesday, July 25th, prior to the [Shield match.
The following fixture was made for next Saturday—• Seniors: Stars v. Excelsiors at Park. A ground,' at 3 p.m. (Mr T. Mclntosj) referee).
The Coast reps will now make a tour of the Seddon Shield Unions, playing Butler at Westport on Saturday, 21st July; Golden Bay at. Motuelca on Wednesday, 25th July, and Nelson on July 2Stli. There will be one representative match played before the tour, and this, will be against Buller at Greymouth on June. 30th.
