It is my firm belief -that for tlie most part the people of the United States are making a proper use of their prosperity.” Ho pointed out that in 1921 there were 5,7(X),000 unemployed in the United States, whereas the number at present was only about 1,900,000. He also emphasised that in tlie last seven years the public debt had been reduced by over 0.327 million dollars, which meant a total of 050 millions in interest savings to tlie taxpayers.
