AMUSEMENTS.
EVERYBODYS PICTURES. “ .MARRIED LOVE” AND “BORN TO THE WEST TO-NIGHT. At the Princess Theatre to-night a grand double star programme will be presented, headed by Dr Marie Stopes’ famous' story, “ Married Love,” also Zano Grey’s great story of the west, “ Horn to the West.” “Married Love” by Dr Marie Stopes, has eclipsed anything ever attempted by a British film producer, ft is said to be one of the finest pictures of its kind ever screened. There is nothing objectionable in the picture and it tells a story of hope and happiness for all, clearly depicting the dangers which beset our innocents. “John Bull” commenting on the picture after its screening in London says “Married Love ” is an outstanding picture which tells a story that even the most ignorant cannot fail to understand. Dr Marie Stopes is to be congratulated for the delicate way in which she has handled this subject, and we arc pleased to record the fact. '(lds is the first time that wo can find only praise for the cinema, which is the greatest educational medium of modern times.” The second big attraction is “ Born to the West,” a cyclonic Zano Grey thriller that fairly bristles with hair-
trigger action and warm romance. It was produced amid the wild, natural beauty of Western crags and canyons on the same spectacular scale that has placed Zano Grey Paramount pictures in a class by themselves among outdoor classics of the screen. “ Dare Rudd ” leaves home when a lad after having quarrelled with “ Bate Pillmore ” over the affections of “ Nell Worstall.” Years pass—and once more the paths of all three meet. Told with ih.c snap and action of Zane Grey. Pictured by Paramount. And enacted by a great cast. That’s “ Born to the West.” John Waters directed under the supervision of the scenarist, Lucien Hubbard.
