THE DERBY'. IBy Telegraph—Ber Press Association. LONDON, June G. Other Derby starters were Fairway, Sunny Trace, Gang Warily, Ranjit Singh. Royal Alinstrel, Bubbles 11.. Camelford, Kcrnkloof, Palais Royal 11, Port Hole, Advocate, Constant Son, Grange View, Royal Crusader, Scintillaiion, Yeomnnstown. Tlie weather was fine and there was a record attendance, including the Royal Family. The terrific pace for the first six furlongs of the popular favourites, ensured Felstead’s easy victory, the latter almost cantering home. He was eight lengths behind Sunny Trace and Flamingo descending the hill before Tattenhnm Corner, but completely conquered Flamingo a quarter of a mile from borne.
The jockey, Wragg, says Felstead was third at Tattenhnm and was going easily when Sunny Trace and Flamingn were tiring. He, knew then he was going to win. He sat still and the horse did the rest.
