AMUSEMENTS.

EVERYBODYS PICTURES. “THE LAND BEYOND THE LAW” TO-NIGHT. “The Lund Beyond tlic Law’' is uol Western in tlic common meaning of the word. It is a feature production with a strong foundation of historical fact. The beauty of the picturo is that this cold, hard fact has been leavened and tempered by romance, stirring action, tempestuous r idling by Ken Maynard and his splendid supporting cast, and such photography is to be in itself a source of grapliy as to be in its-eIT a source of beauty, of which motion picture patrons are not a few. Ken Maynard is one Western film star who uses no doubles, and for two very simple reasons. The first is that he doesn’t want any and is proud in that no doubles can he found to undertake to duplicate the death-defying stunts which the star of “The Land Beyond the Law” the First National AYestern at tlic Princess Theatre this evening does himself, Apropos, Ken believes with Charles 1!. Rogers, producer of tlic Maynard pictures, that only the best of players should be selected for the supporting cast, which’accounts for the appearance of such famous riders us Tom Santselii, Noah Young and Gibson Gowland in “The Land Beyond the Law.” Tarzan, the white marvel horse ridden by Ken Maynard, lias learned even greater and more sensational tricks than those shown in his past pictures. Further chapters of the serial “The Silent Flyer,” comedy and gazette will also he shown. Saturday: “The False. Alarm.”
