An Auckland press message records the illness of the Governor-General, stating: “The Governor-General, Sir Charles Fergusson. is suffering from a severe cold, and the departure of Their Excellencies for Taranaki, Hawke’s Bay, Palmerston North and Wellington, fixed for this (Thursday) morning, has been postixmed. Ihe condition of Sir Charles showed an improvement to-night. It is expected that he will he well enough to travel at the end of tho week.
