WOMEN'S STRANGE PETS. CANNES, April 12. Pets of strange shape and lonn are being carried by women who visit well-known Cannes restaurant for dancing in the early morning. Marmosets, snakes and lizards are frequently to he seen, and one woman carried a chameleon. Early yesterday morning the dancers were surprised to see on one table a huge snail that had been placed there by a young Englishwoman. , She and her partner having ordered supper, she asked the waiter to bring a lettuce for her pet, on which the snail was duly and snugly deposited.
