MURDER AND SUICIDE BRUSSELS, March 23. Cases of murder and suicide in which woman is the deciding factor have been more than ordinary frequent in Belgium during the last three days. Yesterday evening at Paturages near Mons. M. and Mme, Massin were shot dead in the street by a man for whom the woman had once deserted her husoand. The murderer then went to his own home and put a bullet through bis brain. At Antwerp the same evening outside a police-station Mme. Van Linter, 08, was killed by a man who cut her throat with a razor and who afterwards attempted suicide. His excuse for his crime was that the dead woman’s son had stolen his wife. In a train just outside Brussels last night man who attempted to interfere with a girl became frighterd when she screamd and jumped on to the line. Her dead body was discoverd by a railwayman. At Serang, near Liege, on Sunday night a young man who had spent the evening at a dance with a divorced woman"was told by the latter that she could not meet him again. A few moments later she lay dead in the roadway. shot through the heart. It is just as easy to buy a fullyloaded revolver anywhere in Belgium as it is to buy a loaf of bread.
