BRITISH LABOUR PARTY. DECISION OF CONFERENCES. , RUGBY, May 30. The May series of Trade Union conferences, held during the M hitsuntid holidays, has now concluded, and .at all of them resolutions condemning the aims and policy of the Communist Party and the Minority Movement were carried by overwhelming majorities. Added significance is given to these reverses for the Communists by reason of the fact that at the conferences ■field at Easter Communism was equally strongly condemned. The newspapers anticipate that this movement of trade union opinion is likely to he upheld within the next two months by other unions, notably by tlie miners, railwavmen, and transport workers. The issue will be tested at the miners conference at Llandudno in July, and, as a precautionary measure, the extensive committee of the Miners’ Federation has begun a campaign against the Minority Movement in Ccotland, Yorkshire and South M’ales. Meanwhile, the Labour Party, in demanding conformity with its constitution. has adopted the policy-of disaffiliating branches which adopt or support Communist political candidates.
