“ DRIVEN FROM HOME ” —TO-NIGHT.
Several popular players are included in the cast of the new Chadwick Pictures Corporation production, “ Driven From Home,” a Master Picture release, which will be seen to-night at the Princess Theatre. Virginia Lee Corbin, who first came into prominence as a child star a few years ago, has been devoting her recent retirement to the inevitable process of growing up. Virginia has done a good job of it, as was evidenced by her first adult role in “ Pleasure Mad ” earlier this year. An adorable bunch of blonde loveliness, she will be listed among the first rank stars with another couple of such pictures. Ray Holler, who plays the leading role opposite Miss Corbin, is one of the best looking of the screen’s young leading men. His many fine parts, together with his varied directorial experience, have made him a master of the silent drama. Anna May Wong, the charming Chinese player, who scored so decisive a hit with Douglas Fairbanks in “The Thief of Bagdad,” and 11. Soiin, a co-worker of hers in that earlier production, have other important roles. Sheldon Lewis and Virginia Pearson, two popular character players, who were starred in motion pictures when they quit the l stage for the screen, also are in the cast. -Miss Pearson, the foreunner of the screen siren of to-dav, plays a role that is suggestive of this type of character, which she originated in motion pictures. Melbourne McDowell and Uric Mayne, whose scroen characterizations have won them unique places in popular favour, are among the other prominent players of the cast. James Young personally directed “Driven From Home.” A. topical, scenic, and comedy will be included in to-night’s display.
