WEST COAST RUGBY UNION. At the weekly meeting at Greymouth last evening it was resolved that five players should be re-admitted to tlie code, subject to the usual form being completed correctly. It was decided to go into the matter of a challenge for Seddon Shield, and tlie return liorne-and-home match with Boiler at next meeting. A letter was received from the Boiler Union, advising their endorsement of the resolutions passed at the Seddon Shield conference in Wellington. A. R. Brown (Stars) was reclassified from senior to junior. It was resolved that tlie Secretary accept no application for re-admission to the code unless tlie form is completely filled in, and declared by a J.P. as set out in form. Biddington (late Afagpie Club) was reclassified from senior to junior. The following fixtures were drawn up for next Saturday : Seniors.—Stars v. United at Park at 3 p.m., A ground (Air T. Alclntosh referee); Kiwis v. Excelsiors at Hokitika, at 3 p.m. (Mr A. Cutlnish referee). RUGBY LEAGUE. SYDNEY, Alay 28. As tlie result of a conference between tlie Afnnagers of tlie English Rugby League team and tlie members of the Australian Board of Control at Cootamundra, it lias been decided that the tour be conducted under the rules' prevailing in England. The innovations made in Australia, such as the drop-out from the goal line after a force; the manner of hooking tlie ball from the scrum, and the appointment of time-keepers have boon shelved. The Englishmen play the first match of their tour to-morrow, against Contain undra.

SOCCER TOUR. WELLINGTON, Alay 29. The Council of tho New Zealand Football Association met to-night, Air F. Campbell presiding. The Competitions Committee reported on the proposed tour by a New Zealand schoolboy team to Australia during the present season, and made the following recommendations: — That the tour should lie for a period of five weeks, including tlie time ol travel. That tlie four should include New South Wales, Victoria, and South Austarlia ; that the team should assemble two days before the date of leaving. WELLINGTON, May 29. The Council of the N.Z.
