Miss .Megan Lloyd George, daughter of tho Liberal Leader, has been chosen as Liberal candidate for Anglesey at tiie next election. A SAFE SEAT WANTED. FOR MR .MACDONALD. RUGBY, -May 24. It is annoniued that the National Executive of the Labour Party lias warmly endorsed the opinion expressed by the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Labour Party regarding the desirability of Mr Ramsay MacDonald, as leader of the party, being transferred from his present seat at Aberavon to a new constituency. It is felt that the responsihilties of Parliamentary leadership and tlic demands made upon M.r .MacDonald's energy and time by the Labour movement, and especially the strain involved in the conduct of a national campaign during the General Election, have rendered it imperative that Mr MacDonald should he relieved as far as possible from the additional labour arising out of a personal campaign which would he required in A Lera von. Accordingly the executive consider hits' transfer to a more easily-worked constituency to he in the best interests of the parly. Mr Sidney Webb intends to retire from the Sealiam Division of Durham, which he has held by a large majority, and it is intimated that Mr MacDonald may he invited to stand lor this constituency. Tt lias been pointed out in Labour cierles that the leaders of other parties occupy safe seats. Mr Baldwin, Conservative leader, was "returned unopposed at tho last election for the Bowdloy Division oi Worcestershire, and Mr Lloyd George, Liberal loader, had a majority of 12,000 at Carnarvon. Tt has therefore been urged that Mr MacDonald should not he placed as a disadvantage in having a hard fight at Aberavon.
