PUBLIC TRUST
A PHIL BC&INKfcS. The following particulars of tho loan transactions of the Public Trust Office and new business reported during tlio month ended 30th. April, 1928, have been supplied by the Right Hon. the Prime Minister. The amount paid out in settlement of new loans was £157,000. Further new loans were granted to the amount of £30,295, and the total new loans now awaiting completion is £568,250, while offers of loans less than the full advances applied fur amount to £117,985—a grand total of £680,z35. Applications for additional new Joans .amounting to £281,287 are now under consideration. The new business for the first month of the new financial year was satisfactory, the total value of the estates jrJatU-fpted for .adminfstiratioal being £5-13,173. On the 31st. March the total value of estate*- under administration was £44,155,548. Four hundrled and forty now wills appointing the Public Trustee executor, were deposited for safe custody by living testators, and the total number now held is 54,424.
