HISTORY OF PARLIAMENT. BRITISH MEMBERS’ PROPOSAL. RUGBY, May 18. A memorial is to be presented to the Prime Minister, asking him to appoint a committee to consider the editing and publication of a full list of members of Parliament from the year 1264 to 1832, with such particulars as to contests, polls and party ns may be discovered. The object is to obtain a complete record of Parliament from its beginning. The memorial has already been signed by a considerable number of members of Parliament of all parties. It is stated that- the assistance of two or three learned professors, interested in historical research is assured, provided that the Government is prepared to move in the matter.
LADY HEATH’S FLIGHT. RUGBY, May 18. Sir Samuel Hoare, Secretary, for Air, lias sent the following telegram to Lady Heath, who yesterday completed her flight from Cape Town to London in a light aeroplane: “Congratulations on your safe return after your adventurous and successful 10,000 miles flight.”
