WESTLAND SUB-UNION. MONDAY, AIAY 21st. The Sub-Union met at 8 p.m. Present:—Alessrs 11. At. Conlson (President), Cutbusli, McGregor, AlcAlannaway, Dowell, J. Conlson, Stafford and Heenan. The Referees reports were read and considered satisfactor.v. An application for reclassification by R. Cunningham from senior to junior was refused. Hie secretary of the schools competition submitted a report, which was approved and it was resolved to invito nominations for an 8-stone competition, closing on Afonday next, Aiay 28th., at 8 p.m. From West- Coast Rugby Union, asking that Hokitika teams fie more punctual in taking tho field. It was resolved to take exception to Hie charge of unpunctuality and to discuss the matter further with the W.C.R. 11. officials. From W.C.R. Union on various matters.—Received and discussed, and referred to delegation that is to confer with the W.C.R.U. From E. Best, in reference to reclassification.—Received and referred to Kiwi Club for opinion. SATURDAY’S FIXTURES. SENIOR. Excelsiors v. Stars at Hokitika (Air AI. Wallace). Kiwi v. United at Grey. JUNIOR. Ross v. Kokatnhi at Kokatalii at 3 p.m. (Air A. Cutbusli). Arafiura v. Excelsiors at Hokitika at 3 p.m. (Air Willoughby). Rimu v. Kiwi at Rimu at 3 p.m. (Air D. Williamson). THIRD GRADE. Excelsiors v. School at 1.30 p.m. (Mr A. E. Perry).

SEVEN ASIDE TOURNAMENT. It was resolved to hold the usual seven aside tournament o.n Monday, June 4th, and to invite nominations to close on next Afonday evening, Afay 28th, at 8 o’clock, for senior, junior, third grade and shrimps.

The following were appointed a delegation to wait on AY.C.R.U. this evening: H. AT. Coukson, E. AY. Hoonatu J. Stafford, D. R. Dowell and S. Aloore.

SILVER CUP PRESENTED. Air Stafford handed in on behalf of ’Mr AY. Newman a beautiful silver cup for competition among the junior teams, to be won two seasons in succession or three times at intervals. The gift was accepted with pleasure and a very hearty vote of thanks was accorded Air Newman for his very valuable trophy.
