WEDDING BELLS

A quiet but pretty wedding was solemnised in St. Andrew s Presbyterian Church on AA'ednesday evening at C o’clock by the,, Rev. J. AA T . Hayward, the contracting parties • being ALiss Elizabeth Forsyth, second daughter of Air and Airs J. Forsyth, of. Kanieri, and Air AValfer Houston, se.oond son of Air and Airs AA . J. Houston of Three Aide. The bride who entered the church on the arm of her father was smartly attired in a beige crepe-de-cliine frock neatly embroidered finished with a fox fui. She wore a liat to match relieved with cyclamen. and carried a pretty bouquet of buff coloured chrysanthemums and maiden hair fern. She was attended by her sister Aliss Belle Forsyth as bridesmaid,- who wore a pretty embroidered rose beige crepe-de-chine frock -and hat to match, and also carried a bouquet of buff chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. The bridegroom was supported by liis brother Mr David Houston as best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the bride s parents being confined to the members of the two famlies only. " Later the happy couple left by motor .for Grevnioutli en route to Christchurch and Wellington, tl,e bride travelling in a beige creppe tailored coat with a smart hat to match. The young people who were deservedly popular were the recipients of many beautiful preseats and several cheques.
