ADDINGTON STOCK SALE. By Telegraph—Press Assn., Copyright. CHRISTCHURCH, May 16. Addington market to-day had not large entries for the most part. Lambs and fat cattle sold well. Fat Cattle.—There were 540 yarded, of poorer quality, but keen competition prevailed. Rest steers sold at £ls and £l9 17s 6d, prime £l3 5s to £l4 10s, medium £lO 10s to £l3, cows, lest £9 and £ll 10,s, medium £7 10s and £9, poor £5 to £7, heifers best £9 15s and £l3 10s, medium £S and £9 10s, unfinished £6 10s to £8 10s. Calves.—There was a fair yarding of better quality than usual, and there was a hardening tendency in prices. AA’est Coast suckers sold up to £8 6s. best runners £4 to £8 10s, medium £3 .and £4, best calves £2 10s to £3, medium £1 10s Id to £2 7s fid, small £1 to £1 9s. Fat Sheep.—There was a fair entry, and prices were on a par with late rates. The early wethers forward met a dragging sale. Fat Lambs.—There was a large offering, and a good sale throughout. Prices wore well tip to the schedule rates. Best lambs sold at 28s to 31s 7d, prime 33s to 365, medium 30s to 32s fid. light 26s to 295, stores 23s to 255. Store Sheep.—There was a very small entry in this section. The prices throughout were irregular. Culls were hard to quit. Halfbred wether lambs sold at 15s to 225. three-quarter bred 19s to 24s,'halfbred ewes 27s 7d, threequarter bred 19s to 245. The adult store sheep offered were mostfy wethers. Prices wore on a par with late rates. Two-tooth wethers sold to 24s 9d, others 29s to- 31s. two-tooth halfbred ewes sold up to 40s, and five year old three-quarter bred ewes to 33s fid.

Pigs.—There was a medium yarding of baeoners and porkers, also small stores. Porkers, light sold 20s to 355, medium 36s to 425, heavy 43s to 595. Baeoners sold: Light 5Ss to £3 4s, medium £3 3s and £3 15s, heavy £4 to £5 Ids. Store pigs: Small weaners 6s to Bs, good 9s to 12s, small stores 11s to 14s, others 15s to 295.
