LIQUOR FOR U.S.A. OTTAWA. May 10. News from Windsor (Ontario) states that a liquor ring, with a capital of approximately 000.000 dollars, became operative to-day, embracing virtually all the distillery interests in Canada, and it is the most, powerful organisation yet attempted in the history of liquor exportation from Canada to the United States. The immediate effect of the organisation is expected to be an increase of one or two dollars in the price per ease of liquor exported to the United States.

Rockefeller, jimr.. and Mr Owen Young, at a general session ol the United States Chamber of Commerce, a resolution was introduced denouncing “all those who indulge in commercial and pelitical corruption.” and declaring that they would he purged from the ranks of American business, and “ that the moral turpitude of the corrupters of public servants is even greater than those whom they debauch.”
U.S.A. ANNEXATION. WASHINGTON, May 10. The United States Senate Inis passed the Bingham resolution for the annexation of the American Samoan Islands, thus ratifying the Act of Cession made bv the native chieftains many years ago.
