A PRESENTATION
(/ii Thursday afternoon, at, AFr-s Wylie’s, Kanieri, the ladies of the AYoodstock Presbyterian Church met to make a presentation to Aliss Forsyth, on the eve of her approaching marriage to Mr Waller Houston, 'lliree Alile. Aliss Forsyth, who lias been organist of the Church and superintendent of the Sabbath School for the past 8 years, is held in the highest esteem for her sterling qualities. On behalf of the congregation. Airs Munson presented her with a handsome hand-painted fruit dish, in blue and gold, of Carlton ware, as a small token of appreciation and with best wishes for future, happiness. Aliss Forsyth thanked the ladies in a few well-chosen words. A dainty afternoon tea was served and several musical items were contributed. The singing of Aukl Lang Syne brought to a close a very pleasing function. At the close of the Sabbath School the previous Sunday, Aliss Wylie, on behalf of the pupils presented Aliss Forsyth with a handsome copper jardiniere, expressing the regret of all at the loss of such a splendid worker and wishing her all future happiness.
