Gnus', of Tinmru, were crossing a railway line at Studholme •Junction, when they were struck by tlie Oamaru-Timaru train as it came into tlie station. Craig was thrown clear, hut suffered front shock and a deep cut on the right leg. Leal was drawn under the engine and was terribly mangled, death being almost in< stantaneous,
