FRED THOMSON AND SILVER. KING—FRIDAY.
“ Hands Across the Border,” one of the most spectacular of all Fred Thomson’s western romances, released by.-Master Pictures, comes to the Princess Theatre on Friday. Frank .M. Clifton wrote the story, a rattling tale of smuggling along the .Mexican line, and the amusing; difficulties into which a. young American can become immersed when he starts promiscuously to rescue young Spanish ladies from gii-fs’ hoarding schools. Along with the chuckles that sprinkle the picture with the usual Thomson . prodigality there is an unexampled number of thrills, in most of which Silver King plays a hig part. That horse takes the palm as the best actor in Hollywood 1 And Mr Thomson himself woidd he the last to deny such an assertion. Bess Flowers has the leading lady’s part, and she proves a devastating damsel, both in distress and otherwise. Others who stand out in the strong supporting cast are Tyrone- Power. William Courtwi'ight. Clarence Oeldcrt, rind Thomas Santsehi. David Kirkland directed the production. Good supports on Friday, include a ■topical and further chapters of the new serial “ The Silent Flyer,” and a good comedy.
On Saturday “Off the Highway” will he shown, and on Monday next the big spe ini “Beau Gesto ” will he presented.
