PRESBYTERIAN C.O.’S. WELLINGTON. May 0. A deputation, representing the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand, asked the Minister of Defence to-day to reverse the Magisterial decisions made in respect of certain Presbyterians recently lined for their refusal as conscientious objectors 10 undergo military training. ■ The Minister emphasised that he was unable to sit in judgment on questions of fact decided by the Magistrates, and he declined to act. as i requested.

Mr Lux ford, S.M., this afternoon dismissed charges against fifteen motorists for driving without this year’s licenses He said there was a curious omission in the latest Act. The date „f the expiry of a license was. unstated, and therefore the licenses would' continue indefinitely, or until the Statute was amended.
