CHRYSANTHEMUM SHOW

FANCY WORK

OPENED TO-DAY. The annual Chrysanthemum Show arranged in aid of the hostel funds took place at the Soldiers’ Hall to-day and' a very bravo display was made. There was a fine slwnvs of ’mums, the cut blooms being of a very high quality. The cookery classes did not fill -at all well and were considerably Inflow last year's display. The decorated classes proved attractive, while the vegetables shown were of good quality. There were several stalls well filled with fancy goods, vegetables and sweets, while afternoon tea was available in the annexe. The prizelist is as follows:—CUT ’AI UAIS.
