Romantic mix-ups furnish' the basis Ot the dcvcr farce comedy “ lteware of \\ idows,” which will he shown at the Princess theatre this evening witli Laura La Plante in the starring role. Others in the cast are Bryant Washburn, Paulette Duval, Walter Hiers, 'I ullv .Marshall, Catherine'Carver, Ileinie Conklin, and Otto Hoffman. Wesley Buggies directed. When Owen Davis wrote his successful stage farce “ Beware of Widows ” lie must have had Laura La Plante in mind for the screen version of it, for she is perfectly cast in the photoplay. Laura La Plante, the star, was horn in St. Louis; Bryant Washburn comes from Chicago; Paulette Duval from France; Walter fliers from Cordele, Ga.; Tully .Marshal from Nevada City, Calif., Heinie Conklin from San Francisco, and Wesley Buggies, the director, was horn in Los Angeles, Universal spent 62,000,000 on productions which are being released this year. The usual good supports will also be shown, including a topical and comedy. Prices are as usual. On Friday next Fred Thomson and his wonder horse Silver King will he' seen in “ Hands Across the Border.”
