CHINESE TURMOIL.
JAPANESE TROOPS IN CHINA. Australian Press Assn.— United Service (Received this day at 11.0 a m.) SHAXC.iI IA I, -May 2. A Japanese news agency reports the withdrawal has been ordered from Tsinnnfu of Japanese troops sent to protect nationals, as the crisis is passed and order restored. Other reports state Japanese forces are continuing towards .Tsinnnfu and have already conflicted with Chinese looters, necessitating the use of firearms.
CHINESE ARMIES POSITION. SHANGHAI, May 2. Southern Troops are well disciplined and the Northerners, scattered and lead less, are retreating pellinell across the Vellow River. Shantung province is rapidly filling with Northern deserters and defeated troops. Thu authorities are preparing to offer a stubborn resistance.
The •Southerners next objective is believed to he Tientsin which is occupied with many foreign troops.
