Tliirtv-four Moth aeroplanes have been ordered for the Royal Australian Air Force, twenty from l)e Havilnnd ( uy. kill., Britain, and the remainder to lie built in the Commonwealth, with the exception of the engines. The approximate tust of each imported Moth is 17611.

An official review of the Austialian wool clip for the past year shows the gross return was sixty-seven million sterling. The estimate of the National Woal Council that two and a quarter million bales would be received into store lias been confirmed. This is 260.000 bales fewer than the preceding year while the wool showed a shrinkage of five ,'|X'r cent, in weight. The trend of prices, however, was consistently upwards. Values of merino wools throughout the season was generally 10 to T> per cent, above the preceding year. Choice super fine merino fleece (lamb) was alsnif Id lower owing to the absence of American inquiry.

Throughout the proceedings the weather. though chilly, fortunately kept fine.
