The lilm opens as Pa decides to plunge into a sure-fire oil deal. He takes all the mortgage money and exchanges it for a couple of gilt-edged bonds. Mamie gets wind of it, hut to curb her tongue. Pa gives her one as a birthday gift. Then, .Mn becomes suspicous, Pa sells bis stock, pockets a small profit and—oil actually starts (lowing. What happens? Nothing but laugh-provoking scenes follow on each other’s heels. Ivy Harris and .Mary Aldeit are featured in .Mr Kidds’ support. l-’red Newmevcr directed for Paramount.
