A social evening was held at the residence of Air and Airs Denia last week and a very enjoyable evening was spent. It is well known that rain is a respecter of no person and AAednesdav went to prove it. A party ol voting folks had all arrangements made to visit Alt. Greenland but bad to postpone the project until the weather is more suitable. The Public Works Fordson tractor grader is working in this distrut and will he around Boss lor a week o, s'> and will then proceed further Soul a.

W. Peebles) road . the reports and balance sheet tor the ■last vear which were received and an- j proved. The balance sheet showed aj credit balance at the beginning ol the year of £l2 18s 4d. and a credit at the end of the year of £36 iis (id. Ihe Headaster’s and Committee's reports were read. There were only sufficient nominations to make the nuinhet te(giirod for the Committee, which are as follows;—H. Osniers, J. Holmes. R. Heyward. A. Thompson and M. Collett, who were declared to he du!\ elected. A vote of thanks was recorded in favour of the staff for the good results obtained for the past year and also to those responsible lor the success of the school bazaar recently held. A vote of thanks to the chair dosed the meeting. At a meeting ol the new committee held immediately afterwards. Air timers was elected Chairman, and Air A W. Peebles appointed Secretary and Treasurer. The Committee decided to meet on the third Saturday in each month at 7.30 p.m.
