(Before \Y. Afeldruni, Esq., S.AL.) JUVENILE COURT. Two juveniles were severely mlmoni,shed by the Alagistrate on a charge of the use of unseemly language at Kanieri. LICENSING ACT. Charles Tulloeh (Mr Murdoch) licensee of Lake Hotel was charged with keeping open, selling liquor and exposing for sale after hours. Mrs I tdloch was charged with supplying after hours. Air Murdoch pleaded guilty to the charge of selling and ot supplying. the other charges being withdrawn. Tulloeh was convicted and titled L2 and 12s costs, and Alt's lullocli fined £1 mid costs i2,. On charges of being found unlawfullv on licensed premises alter hours convictions were recorded and lilies indicted as follows:—Two men (Occidental Hotel) ordered to pay costs 10s. ono man £2 and c r st-, 12s. Another man’s excuse was accepted and the charge was dismissed.

Charged with being on Royal Afail Hotel. Wood-stock, one man was fined 20s and costs 12s. one was ordered to pay costs 12- and another was dismissed. his explanation being accepted n.s satisfactory.

Charged with being drunk while prohibited" an offender was fined 10s and costs 10s. CYCLING AT NIGHT. Erie Goodfellow, charged with cycling without n light was fined 5s and costs 10s. Arthur Wilson, charged with cycling without a light was fined .5s and costs 22< fid. Titos Biddelph. similarly charged, was fined 5s and costs 22s fid. BREACH OF REGULATIONS.

Police charged Af. Keenan (Afr Alurdocli) with a breach of Explosives Act. by failure to erect and fit a proper annexe for picture display machine. Sergt. King stated that since the charge was laid the requirements had been effected. Fined £T and costs 10s. BOROUGH BYE-LAWS.

Charles Pfahlert (Arr Elcoek) was charged with failure to have motor car lighted and was fined os and costs •23s 6d. Mr Park appeared for the Borough Inspector.

E. Partridge, charged with allowing a car to stand without a light at night was lined 5s and costs 22s Gd. Robt. Nightingale charged with cycling on a footpath in Weld St. was fined 5s and costs 22s fid. James Wright, charged with failure to keep the rules of the road was fined 5s and casts 22s fid. Thus Staines, charged with allowing a cow to wander was fined 10s and costs 22. s fid.

Tlios Stopforth, a similar (■'barge 1 cow. Fined £1 and costs 22s fid. F. Preston, similar charge. 1 heifer. Fined 10., and costs 22s fid. J. Coiilson. similar charge. 1 cow. Fined £1 and costs 22, fid. AY. Pascoe. 1 horse. Fined 20s ami costs 22s fid.

Alandl and Co. I mare. Fined 10s and costs 22s fid.

DEFENDED CASE. The Police charged M. Keenan tMr Aftirdocli). licensee ol Royal Mail Hotel. Woodstock, with supplying alter hours, exposing tor sale and keeping the bar open. Two men were charged with being unlawfully on the premises. A plea of not guilty wadi tered. Constable .Drummond gave evideme of visiting the hotel on the night ol April II th and finding three men in the bar. which was lit up. The licensee stated lie had shouted the liquor before the men. and that the men had paid Is each for bed and bi enklast. Mills gave witness 7s to pay the costs, anil a few days afterward. Mill- came to him on the racecourse and asked blithe return of the money, which witness gave him. For the detenco Mr Murdoch led evidence.

William AlcLeod gave evidence that lie did not hear all the conversation between Constable Drummond and Mills.

Michael Keenan (licensee) gave jvidenee that the three men in the bar (Glass. .Mills and Morris) were hoiked up for the night. He took the men into the bar to shout for them. He found next morning that Morris did not occupy his tied that night. Morris had never stayed mere before. William J. Afills gave evidence statinir he engaged a room on arrival and stayed at the hotel that night. AlcLeod would not hear all that witness said to Constable Drummond. Colin Glass gave evidence in (support.

AVilliam -J. Alorris gave evidenci that he engaged a bed for the night. His AVorship said the charge against the licensee must fail. The men had engaged -beds for the niglit. The eases would all be dismissed.
