A Communist candidate’s poster declared: “Vote for nobody, last ol all me.” The failure of lioknnowsky (Air .Minister) to adef|imtely support Cosies and Lebrix in their round the world flight, led Lo stormy scenes in tins constituency, crowds shouting: ” A has broke.”
Results of tlie poll are not expected to lie surprising, though the polling is heavy, eleven million voting and there being 3570 candidates, ot which -till will 7)0 elected. A second ballot, electing the remaining 112 deputies will be held on 2b't liApril. The ratio of occupillions among candidates was —Barristers 285, journalists 22(i, workers 200. farmers ISO, doctors 15*. teachers DO. hankers 8, priests 7.
