A WOMAN BANKRUPT. GI SHORN ft, April 10. Considerable interest was evinced todav in a meeting ol creditors of Miss livelyn Helen Head, confectioner, and at the conclusion, the meeting edjonrned, and a public examination of the bankrupt is to be held. : Bankrupt's statement of her finances ' showed that £l2 11s was owing to unsecured creditors, and £93 to one secured creditor. The value of the securities was estimated at £llßll. leaving a deficiency of £sl, the total debts being £1268. The assets, including stock-in-trade worth £169. total £2Ol. ’caving a deficiency of £106(1. Bankrupt said that she started business in a small shop in December. 1025. and eighteen months later she also took over a bigger shop, near the ■outre of the town, being financed to the extent of £OOO by a secured creditor. to whom payments were made fortnightly. The business was good in both shops, but later bankrupt .suffered from illness. In December. 1027. hankrunt took stock valued at £327. \ few weeks ago a lire eccurred in the first shop, and bankrupt estimated she :st considerably.
