The ‘‘Lyttelton Times.” states. — Generally speaking the stock sale at Addington on Wednesday, was a satisfartorv one Imm the point, ol t iev ol vendors. Fat lamhs sold under very keen competition and all decently finished sorts made full schedule prices and in some eases more. There was also a good demand for fat sheep, late rates being fully maintained, with an improvement of up to Is a head m the final stages. There was also a very sound sale of fat cattle, and in this ease. too. the demand was better at the close than at the opening of the market. Store sheep winch were yarded in large numbers, sold well on the wlH.le. There was a keen demand for ewe lambs and any forward wether lambs, and good young ewes also sold well. Store wethers were cheaper than they were a week ago, hut in spite of the easing, the prices were still good Dairy cattle were in demand. »° (K milking sorts being sought niter. Vealors also sold wejl, and no iiou jo was experienced in disposing of tie lew store ca i tie forward. Fat pigs were a little cheaper than they weie last week. A considerable decline was recorded in the price of store pigs, which were in over supply.
