In the development of a sane immigration policy we must spend more money and secure co-ordination of effort, Sir Henry Thornton told the Parliamentary Immigration Committee on Thursday. He said he preferred a maximum of British settlers. Mr C'. H. Cavan, Conservative, advocated the Australian National Commission system for handling immigration. Sir Henry Thornton said this would he a solution.
