ARRIVAL AT WESTPORT

The ketch Klsie arrived last at 9.30 o’clock at Westport from southern

ports. The Klsie left Hokitika on Wednesday, April Ifh.. for Dkiiru. arriving there on Thursday, the nth. Discharged cargo and left Okuru for Bruce Bay on Sunday. Sth. Discharged cargo on ihe 9th and on Tuesday, 19th. took in a cargo ol sheep. Left Bruce Bay for Hokitika at midday, hut ran into a heavy northerly gale at night and was loned to turn about and run lor xholtei to Jackson Bay. hanging on there till Sunday last. 15th inst.. when she returned to Brute Bay and managed to land the cargo of sheep satel.v. A heavy westerly then set in and u took the little vessel lour hours to heat ()Ut ol Brine Bay. and Captain Bald then ran northwards hetore it. 1 assing Hokitika yesterday he found there was far too much sea so he kept on northwards. At Grcyimuith saw a number of steamers laying oil M'<’ «;"■ and continued on to Westport, which was reached safely last night at ....19 o’lloak. The Stork of oil had run down amt there was not much in burnt when Westport Wharf was reached. The news of the sale arrival ol the Flsie relieved a considerable amount ol anxiety as to her whereabouts ; as no ne ws was available owing to the south telephone service being dislocate, .
