FOOTBALL.

WEST COAST UNION. The first Executive meeting ol the West Coast Rugby Union was hold last evening at (ireymouth. Applications lor reinstatement to the Rugby code were received from E. 11. Price, .lames Alcllerron, and John .Mason, and it was resolved to forward on to the New Zealand Union with a favourable recommendation. Nominations lor the various Club competitions were received as under: Seniors:—Stars, I nited, Kaniori, -Magpies, Kiwis and Excelsiors, duniors:—-

Stars, United A, United 11. Magpies. Cohden. Blaketown. and Kumara. Fourth tirade :—(lreymouth Technical, United, Cohden. and Blaketown. fifth tirade drey Technical A. they Technical 11. and United. In reference to the Hawke’s Bay Union remit that the following new rule he made: " Ihe manager of any Now Zealand representatives touring overseas shall he elected by ballot ol affiliated Unions," it was resolved that this Union’s delegate he instructed to vote against the motion. Westland Rugby Sub-Union advised the appointment of Mr A. A) bite as delegate for the ensuing year. It was resolved that the senior competition lie three rounds, the junioi competition he two rounds, the fourth grade competition he lour rounds, and the lil’th grade he six rounds. Mr .1. I. Clarke was appointed in charge of t ompetit ion results.

It: was resolved that a Fixture Committee, consisting ol Messrs Adams. White and Ryan, he set up to draw up all (irst competition games. ’Phe following postponement committee was elected: Messrs .1. Kyle. I. Scott and N. W. Jones.

Resolved to write the Sub-Unions asking them to submit nominations ol one member of each Sub-l nioii lor senior selection committee.

It was decided that the President and Secretary constitute the Referees Appointment Committee. FIXTURES. The following fixtures were laid down for next Saturday:— Seniors: —United v. Stars at Park. A Ground, at 3 p.m. (Mr AV. Williams, referee'). Juniors:—[’nited A v. Afagpies at Park. B Ground, at 3 p.m. (Mr Winchester referee) ißlakelowii v. Cohden at Cohden. 3 p.m. (Air T. Mclntosh, referee); Kumara v. Stars at Kumara, 3 p.m. (Air L. Dewc referee).
