WEDDING BELLS
I An event which created great local interest, was the very pretty wedding which was solemnised at St. .John’s Church, Rimu. on Wednesday the 11th. when Margarel the youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs W. Crasc, of Woodstock, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to William Joint, the eldest son of Mr and Mrs Fred Willoughby. also of Woodstock. The Rev. Canon Hamilton officiated, and Mrs .1. A. Cooper, of Hokitika presided at the organ—the church having been artistically decorated with Michaelmas daisies by friends of.the bride. The bride who entered the church on the arm of her father looked charming in a sleeveless frock of silver-bonded white georgette and silver shoes and stockings to match. The embroidered veil was arranged with a coronet of pearls and orange blossoms and she carried a beautiful bouquet of white asters and maiden hair fern. Her sister. Miss Ellen Crasc and Miss Ellen Kelly were the bridesmaids. They wore pretty frocks of mauve and pale blue georgette, respectively, with bats to match. They also carried posies of orchids. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Jim Foster, a cousin of the bride', as best man, and. Mr Colin Crasc. Iter brother, as groomsman. After the ceremony a large reception was given by the bride’s parents in the Woodstock Hall, which bad been specially decorated for the occasion. Over 50 guests wore present at the sumptuous wedding breakfast where the usual toasts were duly honoured. The presents were both mnnii'ci: 1 and costly.
In tho evening friends Irom all parts of the district were entertained in the Woodstock Hall the happy couple leaving hv car for Greymouth on route for Christchurch, where the honeymoon will be spent, tho bride travelling in a grey tailored costume with hat and shoes to match. They carry with them the host wishes for their future health and happiness.
