The fact that the white races are at present in the process of being utterly swamped by the coloured races is the keynote of an arresting article by Sir Cliiozza .Money (the well-known economist and author), in the ‘'Evening Standard.” Tiie writer instances the amazing low level of the birthrates to-day in Europe, as being the outcome of birth control, the tide of which he says, it is useless to endeavour to stem. Sir L. C. Aloney also instances the action of France in building up a coloured army in Africa, and the American ban on whites while the United States is building up large black populations in its industrial towns. “In the face of these facts.” says Sir L. C. Aloney. "it is not difficult to say that the whites in Europe wiTl be forced eventually to import coloured labour. The world’s white people now number only one in three. We

must, therefore, anticipate with certainty that Europe will be seriously reduced, and that the whites will be compelled to lay down the leadership of the world. European emigration will entirely cease. The industry and the wealth of Europe will contract, and the British Empire will necessarily dissolve, because it will not have sufficient white people to maintain it.” “As far as the British Dominions are concerned.” continues Sir Leo Cliiozza Aloney, “they must remember that there are only eighteen millions of whites in the Empire outside the United Kingdom. The Dominion birthrate is falling, and soon the white emigration will entirely cease, with the drying up of the European populations. Hence, it is hopeless to

look for much larger populations in Australia and New Zealand. In South Africa there are eight and a half million blacks, and only one and a half million whites. The birth rate of America is falling, and it will continue to fall. It will he unnecessary to restrict the European whites, because none will he available.”

The article concludes: “It used to be said that the coloured races would conquer the whites in fearful carnage. Such barbarism is entirely unnecessary as the same end is being achieved bloodlessly, by the will of the whites themselves, who hail childlessness as the shortest cut to better times. The only hope of the whites is to pass on birth control to the coloured races.”
